A Gallup poll shows a significant shift in American culture: young men are returning to faith. According to the poll 42% of men aged 18 to 29 say that religion is very important to them. This is an increase from 28% just a few years ago. So what’s going on here? Perhaps isolation, lack of relationships, no moral compass, the evidence of brokenness all around are pointing young men towards God. Political realignment also brings moral and social issues into focus. In the end every one of us has a God- shaped vacuum in our hearts. And as Augustine said, “our hearts are restless until they rest in thee.” This is what young men apparently are realizing and longing for today.
