Nick Sandman, the pro-life student who was defamed by news media last year, spoke to the Republican National Convention last week. Sandman was portrayed by the news media outlets as a racist as he stood face to face with a Native American protestor at the March for Life. News outlets never interviewed Sandman to get his side of the story. Nor did they review complete video footage. CNN and the Washington Post eventually settled a defamation lawsuit with Sandman who explained why he responded the way he did. Sandmann is a prime example of what cancel culture does to its opposition and challenged the media to return to objective journalism. It’s good advice. It’s ironic that even as the cancel culture, political left tried to silence him, he made it onto a much bigger stage. And his example of courage is one all Americans can embrace.
