Members of the U.S. Army recently attended "transgender soldiers training," which prepared enlisted men and women to accept soldiers who are transitioning from one gender to another. Women were told that they should be prepared for biological men who identify as women to appear in their showers. Soldiers were told they should be prepared to accept the Army's new "policy on male pregnancy." The Army has lost its moral bearings. The Army may reject fixed biological and sociological realities but just pretending that something is true doesn't make it so. This social engineering threatens troop morale and is dangerous to the readiness of our fighting forces. The Department of Defense might embrace the fiction that gender is fluid and self-determined, but it will come at a heavy cost when we need the best fighting force to defend us.
