Ever wonder what sets America apart from much of the world? That's a question Lt Gov. Jenean Hampton has asked others.. and her life story is a hint to the answer. Hampton was born in inner-city Detroit, and along with her three sisters was raised by a single mom who demonstrated the value of hard work and thrift. Even though she grew up poor, Hampton had big dreams, realizing she was blessed to live in a nation where people could rise from poverty. Now the Lieutenant Governor is motivating the next generation of Kentuckian's to dream big in the Lt Gov's Entrepreneurship Challenge. It's open to all Kentucky high school students grades 9-12 and aims to introduce students to a competitive business environment. It also promotes business ownership and lifelong learning. There's plenty of time to register. For more info go here.
