Hurricane Harvey dropped rainfall in Texas and Louisiana in Biblical proportions. Over 50 inches have fallen east of Houston which makes it a record. The previous rainfall record in the lower 48 states was 48 inches. Now thousands are dealing with the aftermath and waiting for the floodwaters to recede. Kentucky Baptist Convention Disaster relief is sending supplies, medicine and relief workers. Volunteers and supplies are coming in from all across the nation. Coach John Calipari conducted a fundraising telethon yesterday and asked everyone in a Tweet to "keep everyone in Texas in our prayers." If there's any silver lining in the clouds, its that in the midst of this tragedy, we see people of goodwill coming together from all across the nation to help the victims and minister to their needs.
