Christmas is in the books, and after all the anticipation, the gift-giving, the feasting and family gatherings, do you ever get that feeling of disappointment? That feeling that there should be something more? Of course, in this case, there is something more. And that something is Jesus  Christ—the Messiah, God's son who came to save us from our sins.  Isaiah 9:6  says "For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." So if the presents and great food didn't truly satisfy you, remember that you were made for something much bigger, more permanent and more fulfilling. It's the Christ whom the prophet Isaiah wrote about 700 year ago, and that's good news.
