Kentucky governor Andy Beshear is on the shortlist to be Kamala Harris’ running mate. So why is he being considered? For starters, he’s the most popular Democratic governor in the nation. And he’s figured out how to win a statewide election in a deep red state. Democrats are losing red state voters, and Andy Beshear may be their answer.. However, Beshear doesn’t have red state values. He’s recently posted with a baby onesie promoting LGBT Pride. He’s vetoed bills which protect children from radical gender ideology, and a born alive infant protection bill. Even though he claims that he has put aside the culture war issues, his radical positions on these and other issues say otherwise. If Beshear is chosen, it’s quite doubtful he can help carry red states, including the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
