The election is just over two weeks away but many are wondering what to look for in choosing a candidate. There are two important questions to ask: what is their character and what are their principles. Character is everything in a leader. Ask whether they're trustworthy and honest. How have they treated people in their dealings? Are they fair? Have they lived a life of virtue? Can they be trusted to stand on principle even when they're criticized? Then ask what are their principles. Do they believe in the rule of law and that our rights come from God? Will they uphold the sanctity of human life and religious freedom? Once you've learned all you can about the candidates then vote for the one who bests represents your values. The election is on November 6.
