Vaping is under fire as a number of high-profile deaths have led to closer scrutiny of the vaping industry. Some vaping companies like Juul have been accused of marketing their product to kids which likely led to Juul’s CEO being forced out. Vaping is largely unregulated, and in some cases, illicit drugs have been found in vaping products. The company is suspending all advertising. Massachusetts’s Gov. Charlie Baker took aggressive action and ordered a four-month ban on the sale of all vaping products in Massachusetts. We’re learning that vaping might not be as good an alternative to tobacco as once thought. It’s certainly not appropriate for developing adolescents. And dangers of vaping have gotten the attention of adults as well.
