Men are in crisis in our country. 63% of young men are single. Only 27% of men report having 6 or more close friends. Young men commit suicide at 4 times the rate of young women, and they’re more violent. These statistics tell us that an increasing number of men are lonely, single, and depressed. But should we be surprised? Men are portrayed as dumb and passive on TV. Women are told they don’t need men and are encouraged to fill the roles men used to fill. God created men and women in his image and has given each specific roles. When they don’t live according to those roles, we shouldn’t be surprised to find men feeling unfulfilled and women finding men unnecessary.
