According to a recent survey, 3 percent of American high school students identify as transgender, and another 2 percent question their gender identity. That means that 1 in 20 American teens are struggling with their basic biological identity. It’s a troubling trend. Students in these categories are more likely to face bullying, perform poorly in school, or be suicidal. So why are so many teens confused and rebelling against their biology? Several factors contribute to this including: negative peer pressure from social media, envy and confusion within the digital ecology, and gender ideology spread in schools and doctor’s offices around the country. Ultimately, our society has lost the idea of a God who defines gender and gives us identity by creating us as male and female.
