Did you know China could be spying on you? If you have TikTok on your phone or computer, the Chinese Communist Party has access to your private data through the popular and addictive app. The federal government has recognized its threat to national security. And states across the nation have begun to take action. Kentucky State Sen. Robby Mills (R-Henderson) has introduced a bill that will ban TikTok on all state-owned computers, phones, and other devices. Sen. Mills legislation protects Kentucky government and citizens from the dangers of Chinese espionage. As the FCC Commissioner said, “Tik-Tok is not just another video app, it’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing.” If our government recognizes the threat this app poses to America, then every one of us as citizens should stop using it as well.
