DATE: August 22, 2022
“We are pleased to participate in the historic bill signing of SB 83 – The Fairness in Women’s Sports Act,” said Richard Nelson, CPC Executive Director. “This is our opportunity to honor athletes like Riley Gaines, distinguished swimmer for the University of Kentucky women’s swim team, for her strong voice and for speaking out on behalf of fairness in women’s sports.”

CPC applauds State Sen. Robby Mills (R-Henderson) for taking the lead in the legislature on this important bill that ultimately preserves women’s sports and keeps women safe. State Rep. Ryan Dotson (R-Winchester) was also instrumental in helping the bill pass in the State House. We are pleased that Secretary of State Michael Adams signed this bill into law after Gov. Beshear vetoed this important and necessary legislation.

All media are welcome to attend the historic signing of SB 83 – the Fairness in Women’s Sports Act – by Secretary of State Michael Adams.
