SB 150 Protects Conscience Rights of Teachers

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear’s new book Go and Do Likewise: How We Heal a Broken Country centers on the story of the Good Samaritan and Jesus’ admonition to “go and do likewise.” It’s a call to kindness and respect for others — something many say is long overdue. However, his broad application of the parable is a stretch in places, especially when taken to support public policies contrary to biblical ethics.

California just passed a law that requires all employers to institute anti-hate speech training. And what’s particularly controversial is that it doesn’t make exceptions for churches. Assembly Bill 1803 (AB-1803) was passed earlier this year by the California General Assembly and signed into law late last month by Governor Gavin Newsom.

Clancy admitted to killing her three children (five-year-old Cora, three-year-old Dawson, and eight-month-old Callan), but 11 of the 12 jurors were prepared to find her not guilty by reason of insanity.
