Preorders Open for CPC Executive Director’s Memoir on Christianity and Politics

(Frankfort, KY) – Commonwealth Policy Center founder and Executive Director Richard Nelson announced the release of his new book called Christianity & Politics: A Memoir of Spiritual Formation and Field Guide for Christians in the Public Arena.

Nelson believes that Christians have a biblical obligation to engage politics with high standards of respect and civility. “Scorched-earth politics that incite anger and demean our fellow image bearers is incompatible with our democratic ideals,” Nelson said. “We must find a better, more humane approach to our politics.”

Nelson shares his personal experiences of engaging Kentucky’s political and policy arenas for nearly 30 years. He served on numerous boards and commissions, including a term as a Trigg County Magistrate. He shares many relevant lessons, challenges, and victories in this very difficult of areas.

His book can be pre-ordered on Amazon today, and it will be available September 1st.

Nelson is available for media interviews and can be reached at richard@commonwealthpolicy.org.
