A report out of Pennsylvania is rocking the Catholic church and also shaken our trust in institutions that are supposed to be safe. Three-hundred “predator priests” raped and molested more than 1,000 children since the 1940's. The 884-page report reveals details that are shameful and unimaginable. Priests are supposed to be model citizens—trustworthy and exemplars of moral virtue. Churches are supposed to be safe places where believers worship and families are nurtured in the faith. Instead, 1000 children were abused and had their lives traumatically altered, families were failed and faith shattered. Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro is investigating the case and aims to bring justice to the perpetrators. Pray for Pennsylvania, pray for healing of the victims and hurting families, and pray for justice to be done.
