You may have noticed the Gay Pride flag all over the digital world today. That’s because today is the first day of LGBT Pride Month. What started out as a day turned into an entire month. In contrast, Monday was Memorial Day, a day we set aside to honor the sacrifice made by thousands of American soldiers. Again, that’s celebrated for just one day. LGBT Pride is celebrated for an entire month. The celebrations and special days tell us something about our nation’s priorities and values. We once celebrated things that instill virtue and honor sacrifice in the American people. But it is becoming clear that unrestrained appetites are crowding out virtue and honor in our day.
