The US Supreme Court announced they would hear Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron’s defense of the statewide ban on dismemberment abortions. It’s an awful thing to talk about but legal in Kentucky. The cruel procedure was banned under the Bevin administration, but that ban was overturned by a federal court. Then-Attorney General Andy Beshear refused to defend the law. Now, Kentucky’s new attorney General, Daniel Cameron appealed to the nation’s highest court to hear a defense of the law. And they accepted. Daniel said “It’s important that Kentuckians have a voice before our nation’s highest court. I was elected to provide that voice, and we look forward to making our case to the Supreme Court.”
