Sen. Mitch McConnell gave a speech in the U.S. Senate and commented that the mob who invaded the Capitol were “fed lies.” Several in the mob had signs about saving the children. This was a reference to an internet conspiracy group called Qanon which claims that an international group of child sex traffickers has been scheming with the American political deep state. They also believed that Donald Trump was God’s chosen instrument to destroy the deep state. It’s far out, but unfortunately, many people believed it and acted on it. So, how do you know what’s true? And how do you keep from being led astray? It begins with understanding that truth is found outside of ourselves, is rooted in God, and can be specifically found in Jesus who is “the way, the truth, and the life.”
