One sign said “Sorry for the inconvenience caused. We are fighting for our freedom.” Another said “Sorry for the inconvenience. We are fighting for the future of our home.” This was from Hong Kong protestors who are objecting to mainland China’s subversion of their democratic freedoms. China recently imposed an extradition law which allows them to take citizens to the mainland without due process in court. And this has alarmed Hong Kong residents, many who’ve protested for the past three months. Hundreds of flights were cancelled because of a sit-in at a major airport, causing inconvenience and delays, but if communist China has its way, those will be viewed as minor inconveniences as their entire way of life will be a chapter in the history books.
