(Frankfort, KY) – Commonwealth Policy Center is disappointed that Pulaski County public schools violated the law by publicly opposing Amendment 2 and using state resources to advocate against it. CPC Executive Director Richard Nelson said, “While many teachers and administrators have strong opinions about this issue, that isn’t warrant to violate existing state statute.”

KRS § 65.013 reads “Local, state, and federal tax dollars shall not be used to advocate, in partial terms, for or against any public question that appears on the ballot.”

CPC is calling on Pulaski County school administrators to follow the law and remove the posts on their websites.
