Several Fortune-500 companies have withdrawn from the Corporate Equality Index, which promotes DEI initiatives. It focuses on LGBT identity, race, and gender. These initiatives often include hiring quotas. While activists say it’s a step toward equity and inclusion, critics argue it undermines merit and productivity.
