Abortions have officially halted in Kentucky. This is because the Kentucky Court of Appeals approved Attorney General Cameron’s request for emergency relief to enforce our pro-life laws. An activist judge in Louisville previously blocked the Trigger law and the 6-week abortion ban passed by our duly-elected representatives in the General Assembly. Cameron says he will “continue to vigorously defend the constitutionality of these important protections for women and unborn children across the commonwealth.” Kentucky is a pro-life state with pro-life laws. And this underscores why the Yes for Life Amendment is on the ballot this November. It’ll stop activist judges from inventing rights on their own. The Amendment says that abortion isn’t a constitutionally protected right. It also stops your tax dollars from funding abortion.
