More than a million abortions occurred in the United States last year. This, continues an upward trend since the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision returned abortion policy to the states in 2022. One reason for the increase is using abortion pills and also expanded access through telehealth services. More than 60 percent of abortions today are through drugs. Kentucky is one of a dozen states that has banned abortion except to save the life of the mother. Yet, abortion pills flow across state lines and abortions are still happening, which is a reminder that even as the legal landscape has changed hearts and minds need to change as well where expecting mothers are valued and supported as much as unborn children.
