Investigators say he hoped the attack would “give ICE agents real terror.” This act of hatred highlights the danger of demonizing those who enforce our laws. Reasonable people can debate immigration policy, but violence is never acceptable. When political disagreements are inflamed and opponents vilified, innocent lives are put at risk. A society that openly undermines laws and maligns law enforcement ultimately undermines justice and erodes its own foundation of freedom.
