A Montreal church has been fined $2,500 after hosting U.S. worship leader Sean Feucht—who’s known for his outspoken support of Donald Trump and opposition to LGBTQ+ rights and abortion. Feucht’s crime? He and the church failed to get permission from the city for a concert. The mayor of Montreal denied the permit to Feucht and the church because it conflicted with Montreal’s values of “inclusion, solidarity, and respect.” Nonetheless, the church proceeded with the event. Angry protests outside the building turned tense, and a smoke bomb was even thrown inside during the performance, prompting police arrests. Feucht said this points to a spiritual war taking place behind the scenes, and also reveals the anti-Christian bias of the Canadian government.
