The 2023 Kentucky General Assembly session begins today. It’s a short session with only 30 working days to conduct the Commonwealth’s legislative business. While hundreds of bills will be proposed, only a few priority bills will make it into law. A reduction of the state income tax to 4% will be proposed, as well as a bill to legalize, regulate, and tax sports betting. As citizens of Kentucky, you have the opportunity to voice your concerns and opinions on legislation to your representatives. After all, they work for you! Find your legislators’ contact information at the KY General Assembly website, and contact them so that our representatives pass legislation that is in accord with the common good of the Commonwealth.
