Kentucky’s strong laws protecting human life could come to an end, if Democrats had their way in Congress. Democrats in the U.S. Senate reintroduced the Women’s Health Protection Act, which would invalidate all state pro-life laws relating to abortion and would prevent states from passing future pro-life bills. So far this year, 16 states have enacted 83 pro-life laws. That is an astounding number. If the proposal passes, state laws such as fetal heartbeat laws, born alive protections, and other common sense laws would be undone. The so-called Women’s Health Protection Act is misleading. It isn’t about health or protecting women. It’s about ending a vulnerable human life in a highly controversial procedure. And ironically, the party identified as the one being for the democratic process would steamroll democratically enacted pro-life policies at the state level.
