Pres. Joe Biden told Congress that the mob that invaded the Capitol on January 6th was the greatest attack on our democracy since the Civil War. But is that really true? Those on the political left are pushing narratives over fact. In other words, they are trying to tell a story and make the facts fit into the story. Biden neglected to mention anything about Al Qaida or the 9/11 attacks as being the greatest threats. The political left posits that America is oppressive, that institutions are inherently racist, and that the role of government is to fix every problem. But this narrative is counter to American history and the ideals of the Declaration of Independence. America has been a force for good in the world, not because of what government has done, but because of what it restrains government from doing to our freedoms.
