There is an interesting take on what led to Hamas’ is deadly attack on Israel last October. Orthodox Jews are planning to reinstate the sacrificial system. CBS recently ran a story revealing that red heifers are being raised in Texas to be used for religious sacrifices in Jerusalem. While a temporary location for the sacrifices is in the works, the big problem—and supposed trigger of the attack— is that the sacrificial system must be implemented on the temple mount. Currently, the Al-Aqsa mosque—one of Islam’s holiest sites, is located on the same site as Judaism’s ancient temple. Hamas’ hatred toward the Jews points to a reality of the depth of evil—and a reminder that both the Muslims and Jews need a better sacrifice in order to reconcile and find peace and forgiveness.
