The news you’re plugged in to affects your view of the world. If your news media diet is shrill, negative, and has a Chicken Little mindset that “the sky is falling,” it’s going to temper how you see the world and respond to it. On the other hand, if your news media diet is balanced, measured, and grounded, you’re more likely to navigate through life in a healthier way. Now, this doesn’t mean we don’t have serious challenges. In fact, some things are so off-kilter morally and spiritually, things can be discouraging. But consider the perspective that we have a Creator who is ultimately in charge. In fact, He’s at work making all things right in the world. Jesus Christ came to reconcile sinful mankind with a holy God. And that’s good news. It’s the Good News that you and I need to be grounded in. And it’s the kind of news the world needs today.
