The AP reported that the U.S. State Department “issued its first passport with an “X” gender designation.” Transgender advocates consider this a milestone in the rights of people to self-define their own gender. It’s the latest skirmish in the revolution to redefine human sexuality and God-given boundaries for what constitutes healthy sexuality and human identity. The State Department said that it’s moving to adopt a third gender marker for people who don’t identify as either male or female, but it will take some time in order for it to update their computer systems. While it’s doing so, the State Department may want to consider making it optional for applicants to include their citizenship status as well.
