President Donald Trump warned on his Truth Social page last week that “a whole civilization will die tonight” unless “something revolutionarily wonderful” happens. This threat jarred the world. It’s clear that Iran is a hostile regime and the world’s major funder of terrorism. But threatening to annihilate an entire nation is a disproportional response. It’s also a violation of Just War principles. Just war theory reminds us that force must be proportional, discriminate, and that civilians shouldn’t be targets. Targeting an entire society fails these tests. Trump’s war with Iran has drawn criticism with former supporters, including Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, Candace Owens and former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, which indicate that conservative influencers have their limit with how far they’ll support the president.

Citing those four “conservative influencers” does not help your case against wartime rhetoric. This is a terrible reading of the room for the Christian Policy Center. The Trump administration is distancing itself from those four individuals. For good cause. With just a small amount of research, you would find that these individuals are either guilty of lying, anti-Semitism, getting paid by Middle Eastern Islamic countries, amplifying false stories and conspiracies for “clicks,” or, as the congresswoman is doing, trying to gain credibility by selling out her party to left-wing, anti-christian media. You will also find from this research that these influencers have lost huge numbers of their audience in recent weeks.
I confess I have not researched the CPC. It’s possible that this is typical commentary from this group. But after hearing you on the radio, I had to locate your statement in full and comment.
Thank you
