Syndicated radio host Phil Valentine died from Covid. Valentine was a vaccine skeptic, but after he got Covid, he changed his tune. He asked his listeners to consider, “If [they] get this COVID thing, do [they] have a chance of dying from it?” Valentine was only 61. There are many conspiracy theories surrounding the origin of Covid. Some charge this is just the government is using Covid as an excuse to control us. But getting sick with Covid, or losing a loved one to it, brings into focus the real value of a vaccine to preserve life and those around us. Altogether over 600,000 Americans have died from Covid. Some are still convinced that the vaccine isn’t for them. But consider that it may save your life and help prevent the spread of Covid.
