Tennessee’s Safer at Home Order expired yesterday and the majority of businesses in 89 of the 95 Tennessee’s counties are allowed to reopen today. Gov. Bill Lee said his “Economic Recovery Group [had been] working with industry leaders around the clock [in order to make this happen].” However, social distancing practices will stay in place. Now business owners in Kentucky are asking when they’ll be allowed to open. State Sen. Robby Mills (R-Henderson) asked that question in a recent op-ed. Mills is a small business owner in Henderson and has had to lay off more than a dozen workers. He’s concerned about slowing the spread of COVID-19 but he’s also concerned that his employees are able to provide for themselves and their families.
