The US Supreme Court has denied the consideration of a case that challenges the men-only draft. Currently only men are required to register for the draft. The Court refused to hear the case because Congress is currently considering legislation that would include women in the draft registration. “At least for now,” three Justices said, “the Court’s longstanding deference to Congress on matters of national defense and military affairs cautions against granting review while Congress actively weighs the issue.” Democrats in Congress are seeking to require women to register in the name of equality. But such so-called equality fails to consider that men and women are not physically equal and who is best suited for the rigors of physical battles in a time of war.
