A new study by the Ethics and Public Policy Center found that one in ten women who take the Mifepristone abortion pill experience complications that require follow-up medical treatments. That’s a staggering number—especially as chemical abortions now account for the majority of abortions in America. Advocates touted the abortion pill as a simple solution to an “unwanted” pregnancy and claimed it was safe and simple, but the data tells a different story. Women who take the pill are regularly experiencing incredible pain, hemorrhaging, infection, and trauma. This isn’t just a political issue; it’s a health and women’s safety issue. When 10 percent of women suffer from a particular drug, isn’t it time to reconsider its use?
