As we close out 2021, many of us will make resolutions, gather with family and friends to usher in the new year, and hope for better things to come in 2022. We all long for an end to the deadly coronavirus and the suffering it has brought. We hope to return to normalcy—whatever that means. And we long for health and peace. And in a sense, just a few days ago, we celebrated a downpayment on these things with Christ’s coming. The reason why Jesus came was to take away our sins and to bring us into a relationship with Him. He came to restore the things that are broken in this world and make all things new. And He bids you follow him. If you haven’t done so, he invites you into a relationship with him. And what better way could you start the new year than by doing that right now?
