The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition cover features a man who looks like a woman. Leyna Bloom, the 27 year old actor said in a tweet “This moment heals a lot of pain in the world. We deserve this moment; we have waited millions of years to show up as survivors and be seen as full humans filled with wonder.” But not all are excited about the development which is confusing to our culture, especially our children. Jennifer Lahl, a longtime pediatric critical care nurse, released a documentary called Trans Mission: What’s the Rush to Reassign Gender?, Lahl is deeply concerned about children transitioning to the opposite sex calling “I think [transgenderism] is a horror because we’re experimenting on children. This is medical experimentation. “We’re allowing children with their parents’ permission to do things with their body that we have no idea what the short and long term harms are going to be.”
