The Ark Encounter celebrated its first anniversary this month but critics complain its message and argue that it shouldn't get a tax break from the state. Last year a federal court ruled that Answers in Genesis, the group behind the park, is entitled to receive equal protection under the law. The court upheld their right to receive tax breaks. But the Ark Encounter continues to bother secularists for other reasons. Here's why: Its a symbol of Bible-believing Christians in the public arena and is a very effective way to teach the general public about Biblical truth.  For this reason, a group of atheists continues to protest it. Of course, that's their right. But its an equally protected right for to promote the message of of the Bible—a message our state and nation so desperately need today.
