Should LGBT ideology be introduced in our public schools? This isn’t theoretical. In the past week I’ve taken a couple of calls from concerned parents and grandparents about LGBT identities being promoted in Lexington and Versailles public schools. Large banners line the hallways in Lexington public schools featuring prominent LGBT individuals. This includes grade schools. We’re talking 7 and 9 year old children. At a time when test scores are abysmally low and education progress is lagging, many parents wonder why any time has been spent at all on LGBT activism. Then again, perhaps its because the mission of public education has veered in the direction of left-wing political activism that’s at least partly responsible for the decline.
