Abortion ideology is being pushed in public schools. Rethinking Schools, an influential education magazine, says in a recent issue that for teachers, the “most critical role is to combat the silence, shame, and misinformation around abortion.” Following this advice, the Wauwatosa School District in Wisconsin started teaching 8th-grade students that abortion is a valid response to pregnancy and that it’s their body, and ultimately their choice. But this is a political mantra, not something that should be part of a public school education. Fortunately, this type of political indoctrination isn’t something Kentuckians have to worry about since SB 150 recently passed. The bill requires 6-12 grade teachers to get permission from parents before teaching controversial topics related to sex-ed.
