Last week’s ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court upholds state laws that protect minors from gender transition procedures. The case is called U.S. v. Skrmetti which challenged a Tennessee law (SB1) banning high doses of hormones and surgical disfigurement of minors. The ruling is important for Kentucky since the state legislature enacted a similar law protecting children from these dangerous medical interventions. Kentucky’s SB 150 passed in 2023 and also bans Kentucky’s public schools from pushing gender ideology in the classroom and requires bathrooms and locker rooms to  align with the biological sex of students. The ruling is significant pushback against transgender madness that is hurting our children. It also upholds 27 state laws that have protected minors from such interventions.
