What if I told you that some medical practices thought they were exempt from laws meant to keep women safe because they thought such laws might end up closing them down? Such is the case with the abortion industry. Many states have laws that require abortion centers to have the same surgical standards as any other medical facility. It's common sense and the purpose is to protect women's health. Several states also require abortionists to have admitting privileges at local hospitals. A recent ruling by the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals upheld these common-sense laws in the state of Missouri. This is good news for Kentucky which has been defending a similar law in court. But more importantly, it's good news for women who deserve the highest health and safety standards.
