Today is primary election day in Kentucky. Voters will go to the polls to vote for candidates vying for constitutional offices on the ballot. A dozen candidates are vying for the Republican nominee for governor. Incumbent Gov. Andy Beshear has two primary challengers. There are contested primaries for Auditor of Public Accounts, Secretary of State, State Treasurer, and Commissioner of Agriculture. Secretary of State Michael Adams projected turnout could be as low as 10 percent. If this is the case, your vote represents at least 9 other voters who decide not to vote.
