Kentucky's primary election is one week from today. Candidates for local, state and federal offices will be on the ballot which varies from county to county. Last election, only about 20 percent of registered voters in Kentucky participated in the primary. Usually primaries are neglected and overshadowed by the General Election which takes place in November. But primaries are important and in some cases whoever wins the primary, wins the overall election. It's important that we don't neglect voting because so much has been sacrificed by others. Voting is a responsibility and it's a privilege. And if each of us hopes to maintain the right to choose our leaders then we need to exercise this right. So plan on voting next Tuesday in the primary election.
