The CDC announced that the birth and fertility rate in the United States has dropped to a record low. The birth rate has dropped “below replacement levels,” which means that more people die every day than are being born. Not only does this have economic and social consequences, but our culture’s unwelcome attitude towards children is clearly on display. China is facing a similar problem. And to solve it, they have changed their infamous child limitation policy to allow married couples to have three children. China’s limitation on family size is coming back to haunt them. If both nations had viewed children as a gift and blessing from God, then society wouldn’t be in the predicament it’s in today.
