The Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services denied Planned Parenthood a license to operate an abortion center in Louisville. Cabinet Secretary Adam Meier pointed to a violation when the group operated its Louisville clinic without a license and illegally performed 23 abortions between Dec. 3, 2015, and Jan. 28, 2016. Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky CEO Chris Charbonneau said they will fight the decision and claimed “that [it will] take away reproductive health care and abortion access in the Commonwealth.” But is abortion really “reproductive health care?” After all, abortion involves ending a human life, not reproducing one. Planned Parenthood is the nation’s single largest abortion provider and according to Planned Parenthood’s most recent 2017-2018 annual report, it committed 332,757 abortions in fiscal year 2017.
