Rep. Maxine Waters encouraged protestors in Minnesota to “get more active” and “get more confrontational” against a police shooting in the Minneapolis suburb of Brooklyn Center.  Rep. Maxine Waters is no stranger to violent rhetoric—in 2018, she drew a lot of attention for calling on her supporters to “get out and create a crowd and push back” on Trump Cabinet members in restaurants, department stores, and gas stations, encouraging them to tell those people “they’re not welcome here anymore.” In an age when even the most benign comments on Twitter are twisted to aid and abet the cancel culture mob, leftists have been strangely silent on this turn of events—including Waters’ fellow Democrat and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, who said on Monday that Waters should not apologize for her remarks.
