This could be the year Roe v. Wade is overturned. And pro-life legislatures are capitalizing on the momentum. U.S. Senator Roger Marshall of Kansas is proposing a bill that would mandate that every pregnant woman considering an abortion have an ultrasound made available to her. The federal bill is called the Ultrasound Informed Consent Act. This would require abortionists to perform an ultrasound and allow women to see their babies and hear the heartbeat before any abortion is performed. Women wouldn’t be required to view the ultrasound, but abortionists who fail to offer it will face heavy fines. Sen. Marshall said, “As a healthcare provider, it’s the least you can do to protect the safety and well-being of women and their unborn children.”
